Jackson hit a milestone this past week, the big 5. Meaning kindergarten is around the corner and my first baby is definitely no longer a baby.
As you can tell by the title, this is not a home renovation post. This is a post about my sister.
Our contractor has been plowing full steam ahead with our renovation. It’s down to the details and finishing touches now. Last week, I showed you our kitchen progress:
Last I posted, our backsplash was in progress..
It wasn’t grouted and only went midway down the wall.
Since the house has come together enough to have people over, I was happy to offer to host a party celebrating the upcoming birth of a dear friend’s baby. This is her third child, so it wasn’t a shower or sprinkle. One of my friends creatively coined it a drizzle. Essentially, it’s an excuse for us ladies to get together and creatively love on a friend.
A couple posts ago, I mentioned we closed off the original door leading from the kitchen to the patio:
The door limited the amount of cabinetry we could place along that wall, so removing it allows for a larger kitchen. Continue reading
Let’s return to the rec room renovation. As a reminder, our house is a three level split and the lower level consists of a rec room, bedroom, and half bath. There’s also a laundry “room”-I’ll leave that for another post-and a ginormous crawl space.
